Yesterday's 8 Pack got me to thinking about the first thing I produced in Acid Pro.
It was an experimental piece that was inspired by a couple of very disparate pieces of news that filtered their way to me.
The first was a recording of a radio transmission that was recorded by the Cassini-Huygens probe to Saturn. It kind of reminded me of the eerie sound effects that they used in 1950's sci-fi B-movies.
The second was a hijacked phone message, purportedly from Lindsay Lohan to Paris Hilton. I can't remember the exact details - whether she mislaid her phone or whether someone hacked his way into her voicemail - but the recording found it's way onto the web (I can't find the original article or news item now).
I heard both of these recording within about 5 minutes of each other and thought it might be interesting to juxtapose them against each other with a little creative editing.
I actually thought that I had lost this but after digging around on a couple of old archive drives was pretty pleased to have found it.
There are 3 tracks in the playlist - my creative fun and the two original recordings.
A repository for my creative urges - whether they be photo-manipulation, music creation, exercises in video, short fiction or whatever happens to be pushing my creative button at the time.
